Well, have returned tonight from the first Canadian Haunters Convention. I was really hoping to have the animation ready to sell at this but obviously did not happen. We are hoping for double the size next year so will be much more prepared for a tradeshow floor then.
Sat in a class with Leonard Pickel talking about designing a haunt from the inside out which was fantastic! He has been doing them since 1977 so really knows what works and what doesn’t , and shares all this info. I was writing notes and sketching for two hours after the class as my brain was full with great ideas. His isometric grid approach to layout is also fascinating as you get so much more hallway length and odd shaped rooms. Definitely going to rethink the layout of the garage walk through based on this.
I talked with him a bit about video content and he said to keep it sinister which is great to hear as we are heading that way in our animation . more about that later……..
